Born London 1923. Joined up immediately on leaving the School as a Cadet in the RAFVR in 1942. By 1944 was an Aircraftman AC2. The he left he was in the Lower Shell Form. Survived WW2 and remained in the RAF. Killed in an air crash during a training flight, north of Crickslade in Wiltshire in early November 1949, in a North American Harvard T2 Aircraft. The cause of the accident at the later enquiry was stated as being due to ‘the aircraft carrying out unauthorised aerobatics and flew into the ground due to the pilot not allowing sufficient height to effect recovery from a loop. Aircraft stalled at the top of a loop and spun into the ground. Both crew killed’. The aircraft had earlier taken off from RAF South Cairney, Gloucestershire. Hose was the Number 2 Pilot on this flight. ‘His contemporaries will remember his quiet sense of humour and his gentleness’ (Chronicle Obituary).
