Appearance of the Law Modern Art Oxford Pembroke Street Centred around a series of three video works with interrelated themes, Appearance is a major new solo exhibition by Carey Young which explores relations between women, the camera and systems of power. Alongside the films, a selection of Young’s new and existing text and photographic works feature sites including prisons, legal borders and imaginary space, connecting law, architecture, language and the body. Free admission. Open 10.00am–5.00pm on Saturday, 12.00–5.00pm on Sunday.

Summertown Smokehouse Burnout BBQ 263 Banbury Road For an authentic American BBQ, the Burnout BBQ in Summertown serves Texan-style dishes from a custom hot rod, including burgers, hot dogs, glazed ribs, pulled pork, chicken, halloumi and more. Smoked in-house with their own unique rubs and using specially selected woods. On the last Sunday of the month, they serve a Sunday Roast menu too. A slice of Americana in Oxford.
