Buried No Known Grave Remembered Brookwood 1939-45 Memorial, Woking, Surrey (Panel One) and The St. Edward’s School WW2 Memorial Born London 1908. ‘He was a boy of happy disposition who seemed to carry his youth with him as the years went on’ (Chronicle). He was in the Modern Shell Form in his final term at the School. Little is known of what he did after leaving the School and the war. He was married in 1938. In 1939 he joined up as a Corporal in the Westminster Dragoon’s, Royal Tank Corps (Territorial Army). By 1942 he was a Sergeant in the regular Royal Tank Regiment, then an RSM in the Royal Armoured Corps in 1943. In 1943 he was drowned but details of where and how have so far evaded the researchers. His son followed him to St. Edward’s.
