Naval Memorial, Plymouth (Part VIII), Malvern WW2 Memorial, Worcester Nat West Bank Memorial Malvern, The Link School WW2 Roll of Honour (now in Malvern Museum) and The St. Edward’s School WW2 Memorial Born in Malvern, Worcestershire 1921. ‘His friends will remember him above all for his enterprise and keenness. He had the usual disappointments and problems to face that confront all but the favoured few. He faced these with increasing determination and went on his way with a cheerful spirit of adventure and a lively affection for his friends at School (Chronicle)’. He was a Lance Corporal in the OTC, and in the Lower History VIth Form. He joined the Westminster Bank ‘before the war made claims on him (Chronicle)’. He married just two weeks before he was killed. In 1940 he joined the R.N.V.R. as an Ordinary Seaman, being promoted to Sub Lieutenant in 1941, attached to Motor Torpedo Boat 70 in 1942; the same year he was Mentioned in Dispatches. In 1943 he was a member of the crew of MTB 72. He was killed in action early in 1943, off Cape Griz Nez, France. Some mystery surrounds this action as Price was the only crewman killed, the damage to the vessel was slight and later repaired. ‘Commissioned in the RNVR, he had full scope for his practical enterprise and spirit of adventure and when we hear stories of lightening-raids in the Channel and North Sea - we remember with gratitude the part played by Ronald Price in them’ (Chronicle).
