Buried St. Mary’s Churchyard, Buckland, Bournemouth, Hants Remembered St. Peter’s Church, Bournemouth (Wooden Panel) and. The St. Edward’s School WW2 Memorial Born Berkshire 1917, the youngest of three SES brothers, one of whom was also lost in this war, the sons of a clergyman. After leaving the School he worked for The Southern Railway at Eastleigh, Hampshire and when war broke out he joined the RAFVR as an 2nd Class in 1941. By 1944 he was a Leading Aircraftman attached to 49 Squadron Bomber Command flying with Hampden and Lancaster Bombers. He was lost in an aerial accident over Hampshire, of which there are no further details known, and buried locally in Buckland. His older brother Hugh was killed in action earlier in the war.
