Buried No Known Grave Remembered Chatham Royal Naval Memorial (Part V) and The St. Edward’s School WW2 Memorial Born Bromley, Kent 1917. ‘He left School early to take up motor engineering but later fulfilled his promise of being a really good runner’ (Chronicle). He was in the Shell C Form when he left. He qualified as a motor engineer. In 1939 he joined the Royal Marines as an Armourer and was posted to Crete. It was during the evacuation of that island that he was killed in action. He was first posted ‘missing’, then ‘presumed dead’ at the end of May1941. No further details known.
