Buried No Known Grave Remembered Dunkirk Memorial Part II, The St.Nicholas, Middleton-on-Sea Memorial and The St. Edward’s School WW2 Memorial Born West Bromwich, Birmingham 1918. He was a member of the Cricket XI 1936, 2nd Rugby Football XV 1935, a Corporal in the OTC and in the Upper Remove Form when he left. ‘His School life was marked by much general attainment and he contributed greatly to the happiness of members of his House and his many friends throughout the School’ (Chronicle). On leaving the School he entered Sandhurst 1937-8 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Tank Corps in 1939. Reported ‘missing’ in the summer of 1940 during the time his regiment was heavily involved with the BEF and the retreat on Dunkirk. Later confirmed as killed near Arras in France in May 1940. No further details available.
