Born in Beckenham 1917 of a Kent family, he was an Exhibitioner, a House Prefect and a member of the Rugby Football School XV 1935, Shooting VIII, 2nd Rowing VIII, Corporal OTC and in the Science VIth. On leaving the School he joined the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich in 1936 and was commissioned in the Royal Corps of Signals in 1937 as a Second Lieutenant. He was killed May 1940 in Belgium in action. Few details known.
