Buried Byker & Heaton Cemetery, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Remembered Barton-on-Humber WW1 Memorial, The St. Edward’s School Chapel (Wooden Plaque) and The Cloisters Stone Memorial Born 1897 in Glanford Brigg, Lincolnshire, son of a clergyman. Only at the School a relatively short time, still he won the School’s 150 Yards race for the Under 13s in 1910 and was in the Upper IIIrd Form when he left. When The Great War broke out he was commissioned in the 3rd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire (Sherwood Foresters) Regiment in December 1915 and served with them for three months when he died of Enteric Fever in Newcastle Upon-Tyne. He was one of the youngest OSE to die in this war.
