their event but the next day travelled to Molesey Junior Regatta where they won the J14 quad sculls. Over the course of the summer the school welcomed a new Master in Charge, Adam Moffatt.

Harriers By Philip Mallaband, Master i/c Harriers Cross country running at Teddies has entered an exciting new phase with six of our runners joining Oxford City Athletics Club. This gives them the opportunity to compete in the Oxfordshire Cross Country League races, which take place on the first Sunday of each month, November through to March. The league is competitive, with 49 teams in the senior men’s competition and 68 senior women’s teams. The first race of the season was held in November at the Newbury Showground. Hermione Brewster placed 7th in the U15/U17 race, Jack Barrett and Ben Stringer were 30th and 41st respectively in the equivalent

boys race. Jenny Hannah was 10th in the senior women’s race (and 2nd Oxford City athlete), and Oli McCrum was 145th in the
senior men’s race. Everyone scored well for Oxford City, and we are now looking forward to December’s race in Cirencester.
