Sunburn by L

Your touch is a roiling wave. We lie, sun - kissed, skin to skin, the spray of salt upon the shore. Even as you trail away, and the sand begins to blister, the heat unbearable on the exposed beach You hold in you a part of me, and I remain blushed by the gentle brush of your tide, soothed even in your absence.

So when the stillness of the balmy dusk draws you back to my coasts and we embrace once again, land and sea, intertwined,

I find solace. and the troubles of the day sink far, far below the skyline.
