MIDDLE SCHOOL WINNER
A Familiar Stranger by Anonymous
You were always more than just a friend. Our conversations bent the clock - I never thought they’d reach an end. I thought forever was ours to lock. Our love felt magnetic, soft but true, Laughter braided deeply with trust. Now we pass like strangers do Still the thought of you never collects dust. For mere seconds we were a couple, Sharing the same borrowed time. Maybe “forever” wasn’t meant for people - Perhaps it was for what’s always mine:
The memories I carry, quiet and kind, Held safely, forever, in my mind.
