LGBTQ+ History Month
LGBTQ+ History Month is celebrated every February in the UK, with each year’s celebration having its own unique theme. The theme for 2026 is Science and Innovation . The theme celebrates the contributions of LGBTQ+ scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs while also highlighting the myriad ways that science has been misapplied to marginalised communities in the past, such as through the medicalisation and pathologisation of LGBTQ+ identities.
