6. The Common-Room magazine, Volumes III-IV, a handwritten and hand-painted publication, complete with spoof advertisements, which was circulated to the staff in the 1890s. 7. A SES Library bookplate circa 1931. The bookplate is printed with an etching showing a pupil studying in the Library – the Chapel can be seen through the window behind him and a cloud above him shows the many realms which can be explored through reading. He sits in what was known as the New Library (now Rooms A & B in the Work Block). 8. A St Edward’s library book dating from the 1890s. The tooled binding bears the St Edward’s Crest.
