Buried Catterick Cemetery, North Yorkshire Remembered Canadian Virtual War Memorial, The St. Edward’s School Chapel (Wooden Plaque) and The Cloisters Stone Memorial Born 1898 in Liverpool, the younger of two SES brothers, who was a long time at the School but about whom little is recorded. He was in the Upper IVth Form when he left. He went into fruit farming when he first left full time education, with the outbreak of war he joined The Northamptonshire Regiment as a Private in August 1914. In October 1915 he was commissioned Second Lieutenant in regiment’s Service Battalion. A year later he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps. He was killed in a flying accident over Richmond, Yorkshire in early December 1916, details of which have not survived.
