Buried Longuenesse (St. Omer) Souvenir Cemetery Remembered The Canadian Virtual War Memorial ,The St. Edward’s School Chapel (Wooden Plaque) and The Cloisters Stone Memorial Born 1894 in Adderbury, Oxon, one of two SES brothers, the sons of a Medical Doctor. He was at the School for a very short time leaving young and was in the Upper IIIrd Form. After his full time education, he went into engineering in Canada. He married in 1914 and was an Assistant Commissioner in Ghana February 1914. He joined the war effort with the 5th Saskatchchewan Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force and by mid 1915 was with 5th Battalion, 1st Canadian Contingent in France. By April he had contracted cerebral-spinal meningitis from which he died in a French Hospital.
