THE SIMEON SOCIETY MEMBERS’ SUMMER LUNCH THURSDAY 15TH MAY 2025 t was a great pleasure to welcome members of the Simeon Society back to St Edward’s for the annual Members’ Lunch – an occasion dedicated to expressing our gratitude for their generosity and The Simeon Society was established to recognise and thank those in our community who have pledged a legacy to St Edward’s.Throughout the year, we are delighted to host Society members at a range of events including festive concerts and special gatherings, but this annual lunch remains a highlight in the calendar.

This year, we were thrilled to welcome over 50 members and their partners, spanning generations from the 1950s through to the 2000s. Guests gathered on the Quad for a pre-lunch drinks reception, accompanied by a series of musical performances by our pupils.A delicious lunch followed prepared by the Teddies chefs. A highlight of the afternoon was a heartfelt speech from David Smart, who expressed the School’s sincere thanks to all those present for their generosity and commitment to St Edward’s future.The lunch concluded with a light-hearted Teddies general knowledge quiz, thoughtfully created by School Archivist Chris Nathan. We remain extremely grateful to all members of the Simeon Society for their support, which plays a vital role in shaping opportunities for future generations of Teddies pupils.
