oseNEWS Richard Whittington (Segar’s, 1943-1947)

Congratulations to Richard and Dorothy Whittington, who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Richard is a Simeon Society member, and past President of the OSE Society, and it has been lovely to welcome the couple back to Teddies on a number of occasions over the last few years. Peter Hambly (Mac’s, 1952-1956) Congratulations to Peter and his wife Judy, who celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary on 2nd April 2024. Peter is originally from Nottinghamshire, while Judy is from Norfolk.The pair met 65 years ago while skiing, and are enjoying living back in Norfolk now that they have retired with their two corgis.

Rodney Haig (Cowell’s, 1959-1964)

We were delighted to see that whilst visiting his daughter Boo (Avenue, 2003-2005) in California, Rodney took his Rhubarb socks on a trip to the Mojave Desert!

Christopher Cox (Mac’s, 1961-1966)

At the beginning of September, Chris competed in the World Rowing Masters Regatta in Brandenburg, Germany. Chris raced twice as part of a coxed 4, and came 4th out of 7 in the Men’s ‘H’ Category which has an average age of between 70 and 75.

This summer, Bill Bowen (left) and Neil Dangerfield (right) got together for a small OSE reunion at the Quayside restaurant in St Helier, Jersey.
