Sim Soc and Donor Thank You Lunch 24TH JUNE 2021 In June, we welcomed back a number of our legacy donors and their partners in recognition of their support to the School.There was a blessing of the Chapel Triptych by Rt Rev’d Humphrey Southern followed by lunch hosted byWarden Stephen Jones.The St Edward’s School Society and the Martyrs presented theWarden with a silver salver to show their appreciation for his leadership of the school over the past ten years and his support of the Society. Afterwards, guests watched a game of cricket against Oxfordshire County U15s whilst enjoying mini individual afternoon teas with scones, clotted cream and prosecco. It was a lovely day and very special to see so many familiar faces after lockdown - we look forward to welcoming more OSE back to School next year, when restrictions allow.

Henley OSE Tea Party 13TH AUGUST 2021

Around 70 OSE and past parents joined us for the Annual Cricket Club Afternoon Tea at Henley Royal Regatta, this year unusually held mid-August instead of the usual early July. Rhubarb colours were as striking as ever and there were current students, teachers, young and old OSE alike catching up as if it had only been a year since our last meet, celebrating and chatting about the many OSE competing in the regatta this year. It also gave us an opportunity to remember fondly and to say our collective goodbyes to Mike Roswell who sadly died early August. A much loved and respected man, please see his obituary later in the magazine.When so few schools were able to host their usual social gatherings this year, we were particularly proud to. It was terrific to see so many familiar faces having such a great time. See you next year!

virtual events Tea Party

Due to the pandemic restrictions many of our events were moved online including School events such as theVirtual Carols, Festival of Remembrance, the performance of The Crucible , Ballet recital and Gaudy 2021.This gave us an opportunity to open up our usual school events to OSE and following positive feedback we aim to do more of this next year alongside many more in-person events.
