The Gatehouse, a drop-in centre for vulnerable adults on Woodstock Road, was voted in as school charity of the year; pupils have been volunteering at their drop in food parcel service this year and raising money with various fundraising projects. Pupil Gareth Culley is pictured here.

Our team of Chefs worked especially hard to support our wider community this year, continuing to provide meals to Oxford families in partnership with the Kitchen Collective, an initiative from Oxford Mutual Aid, and a wonderful Christmas lunch for the Cutteslowe Community Group.

Matthew Albrighton who has taken up a new role as

Headteacher at Burford School.

Four of our pupils, Tiggy Jones, Kunal Barman, Thomas Turner and Mashia Jafaari secured places at the University of Oxford.

The OX2 Collective, a youth theatre company, was formed by St Edward’s and The NorthWall in partnership with The Swan School in Marston; their first production was at the National Theatre Connections Festival held at The North Wall in May.

Chess became a craze during the spring lockdown – Corfe even had their own branded board in green and yellow.

Virtual Chapel and Monday Meditations on Instagram brought welcome moments of calm reflection to our busy lives.

Girls’ Cricket went from strength to strength.The 1st XI won three of their four fixtures across the season and played on Upper 1 for the first time in the School’s history.

We remembered a visit to the School by HRHThe Duke of Edinburgh and mourned his death in April.

The Medical Centre team worked tirelessly to test all pupils on arrival back at school in March.
