Girls’ Hockey This was another hugely successful season for girls’ hockey, with just over 140 matches played across 14 teams against a range of competitors. The depth and strength of the Hockey Club this year has been evident in the number of teams we fielded. It was great to see the U16C and 6th XI making a reappearance and A-C teams in each year group. This year has been the most successful season for a decade, due to the strength, commitment, and resilience within the Club. The season kicked off with a pre-season tour to Eindhoven, with three teams travelling and playing in competitive fixtures, bonding as

Teddies win! The girls’ run in the National Cup Championships came to an end after a defeat to a strong Bedford side. Reflecting on the season, the girls should be extremely proud of their accomplishments and achievements. The 2nd XI celebrated many successes during the season, the highlight being victory in the Regional County Tournament after a 5-0 win over MCS in the final, with Ana Lind scoring four goals! The girls developed their skills throughout the season, with great focus on attacking manoeuvres, allowing them to adapt their gameplay, securing wins over Bromsgrove (3-0) and Bloxham (2-0). The 3rd XI demonstrated resilience and determination throughout their season, regardless of some strong opposition. Team spirit and enthusiasm shone through resulting in Teddies wins, including a 7-1 win over Wellington. The girls have had a great season and should be proud of how much their hockey has developed over this year. The 4th XI almost had an unbeaten season, with a narrow loss to Bradfield in their final fixture bringing their streak to an end. We saw some great hockey from this team, with sprints, 1-1 attacks, and many goals scored. The 5th XI and 6th XI/U16C had a mixed season of results after a great season opener of a 5-0 win for the U16Cs. Much like the 4ths, these teams enjoyed developing their skills and friendships throughout the season, with many playing hockey for the first time!

teams, whilst also experiencing hockey culture in the Netherlands. The girls were lucky to play in fixtures vs Oranje-Rood Hockey Club, Vlijmense Mixed HC, and Mixed HC Boxmeer, in addition to watching England, Holland and Italy play in the Women’s Eurohockey Championships at Warsteiner HockeyPark. The 1st XI has had one of the most successful seasons to date, winning 11 of their 15 games including placing second in Tier 2 of the National Schools County Cup Championship. Their season started off with the annual Hawks fixture and match against alumni - both matches concluded with a strong
