58 ST EDWARD’S CHRONICLE
Pre-season netball training began at the start of September this year, with teams preparing for the County tournament in October. Training was competitive with all players hoping to be selected into the A teams and 1st VII. The U16s won half of their matches in the tournament and those they lost were with a very tight margin. It was brilliant to see the U14s exploring their potential and unity as a new squad for Teddies, ready for the main season in January. Our senior 1st team had a rocky start, but came right back into the tournament with our U16 player Lucy Walsh stepping up to play goal shooter and showing some real talent with her shooting accuracy. December brought an unforgettable experience for our netballers as three teams – seniors and U16s – embarked on a tour to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
