I am the Head of Politics and a Teacher of History. When not in the classroom I am often at the Boathouse coaching rowing or out running. When not supervising pupils on DofE in the holidays I enjoy spending my own time amongst mountains in Scotland or further afield.

House Nurse The House Nurse is the link between Apsley House and the Health Centre where they are based and can be contacted. The Health Centre number is 01865 319 244. Cleaning Team We have a great team of cleaners who clean the rooms every day. We ask pupils to respect the cleaning staff by making their beds, putting all clothes away, leaving their desk spaces tidy and ensuring all rubbish is put in the correct bins.

I joined Teddies in 2024 to teach History and Politics, coach badminton, football, cricket and I have begun the LTA tennis coaching pathway. Previously I worked as a Parliamentary Assistant and completed a PhD at KCL. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and golf.

I teach Computer Science from Shell to Upper Sixth, and my degree is in Computer Games Animation. My personal interests are designing board games, playing tabletop roleplaying games and some musical theatre.

Beth Hilsdon Day Matron

I have been Matron in Apsley since 2014, and have three now grown up children of my own. Some of the good things in life are photography, art, reading and crafting. CS Lewis sums it up perfectly for me; ‘You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me’! Hours of work: 8am – 5pm (Monday – Friday) 8am – 1pm on Saturday
