The Grand Café If you’re fancying something more luxuriant look no further than The Grand Café, the site of the country’s oldest coffee shop (dating from 1650) according to onetime regular, Samuel Pepys. Sitting amidst the marble pillars and gold-leaf with a range of coffees not to be missed, and something special to offer those chasing a nibble at lunch or high tea, The Grand Café has established itself as something of an Oxford institution.
