Success on the Slopes St Edward’s is lucky enough to be one of only two UK partner school to Apex2100, the world’s leading ski academy for young athletes. Pupils on the programme spend part of the academic year at schools all over the world, including Teddies, and the ski season at the high performance training academy in Tignes, France. With Sir Clive Woodward at the helm, Apex2100 has a distinctive approach to education and training, based on a firm belief that classroom learning is key to sporting success. Many of you will know our Apex2100 pupils, Flavio Vitale and Lilou Bazile, who were in Cooper Lodge and Corfe until November last year, and who return to us this term. Jeremy Mather, former Cowell’s HM and now Director of Performance at Apex2100, sent us this lovely picture of Flavio following his impressive win in an international race in Slovakia in February.
