Teddies 100 2023

WELCOME Dear players, coaches and parents, We are delighted to welcome you to the Teddies 100 Cricket Festival. The Summer Term is a real highlight at St Edward’s and one of the many reasons for this is the high quality and variety of cricket that we offer at the School. You are contributing to that today - thank you. Cricket is an integral part of the sporting calendar here at St Edward’s. Our long-established boys’ cricket programme continues to be nationally admired, with seasonal success in the John Harvey Cup and the National T20 tournament at 1st XI and Under-15 level. Our girls’ cricket programme is developing at great pace too, as

more girls come to the School with interest and talent in the sport, and will continue to develop in line with the growth of the game nationally. The girls’ 1st XI competes in the National 100-ball competition and the National T20 competition, which our Under-15 squad also compete in. Both the boys’ and girls’ cricket programmes run throughout the academic year, with pupils benefiting from exceptional coaching led by Dave Simpkins (former Gloucestershire CCC player and coach). I hope that the girls and boys enjoy their cricket experience at St Edward’s today and I look forward to seeing them play. Ed Ellis , Head of Cricket
