Magazine to make a recording of Hubert Parry’s Songs of Farewell and a selection of his other part-songs. The disc will feature as the free cover CD to the magazine’s October 2018 issue, which will coincide with the centenary of Parry’s death. Other events that the ensemble have lined up for this year, include performances of the Songs of Farewell at Oakham School, Ludlow Festival of English Song, Cheltenham Festival, and Pinner Music Festival. Rupert Shipperley (H, 2006-2011) recently represented Wales in hockey at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games scoring against Pakistan in their opening game. 2012 Farbod Akhlaghi-Ghaffarokh (B, 2008- 2012) is reading for a DPhil in Philosophy at Oriel College at the University of Oxford. His doctoral research is in metaphysics, moral philosophy, and their intersection, and is funded by a full Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) studentship from the University of Oxford Arts and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership. In Hilary Term 2018, he taught Moral Philosophy at Oriel College, and the Philosophy of Logic and Language at St Anne’s College. Before Oxford, Farbod did an MPhil in Philosophy at Darwin College at the University of Cambridge (funded by a Darwin Philosophy Studentship), a MLitt in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews (with Distinction and funded by a Philosophical Quarterly Scholarship), and received his BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Reading (with First Class Honours, the

2013 Sam Macdonald-Smith (H, 2008-2013) passed out from RMA Sandhurst and received an offer for a commission into the Grenadier Guards.

Daniela Rowe (D, 2008-2013) has completed her degree in Electrical

Engineering at Brunel University in London. During her time at university, Dannii did an industrial placement for a year at a world- leading engineering technologies company called Renishaw which she thoroughly enjoyed. She brightened up the office with her female influence including pink Excel spreadsheets which she was asked to tone down. The company were so impressed with her that in order to encourage her to return after her degree she was nominated for an award under the Student Bursary
