This requiem, which premièred in 2008, aims to address eternal experiences such as loss and grief in a modern way, taking lines from the medieval church’s Mass for the Dead and adding words from English poems, both sacred and secular, from across the last 500 years. The performance will be accompanied by dance from the pupils of St Edward’s.
