Despite being a law student, Holly spends the majority of her free time in Oxford playing at open mic nights in the local jazz club and college bars, singing in Pembroke Chapel Choir and running karaoke nights in my college bar in her college bar in her role as the undergraduate bar representative.

He is an MTA Committee member and has a passion for supporting music department development – supporting teachers to get the most out of their department. Liz has been a specialist Music
subject leader working in secondary schools in Bristol and York for almost 30 years. She is experienced in leading and sustaining successful Music departments and understands how innovative practices lead to effective long-term change. She has an unwavering belief in providing all students with high quality learning opportunities, regardless of their starting point. As schools moved to online learning in March 2020, Liz led a team of Music specialists at Huntington School, York, in designing and delivering a digital portfolio of KS3 and 4 lessons for Oak National Academy. Teaching via cloud learning platforms is now integrated into the department’s everyday practice. Having stepped down as Director of Music at Huntington in July, Liz is now leading Huntington’s Music outreach work. She’s also the York Pathfinder Lead for Secondary Music, and online co-host for the MTA’s ‘Music Teacher Mondays’. She has written for The British Journal of Music Education , and has articles in the current issues of Music Teacher magazine and the MTA magazine Ensemble. Liz’s chapter on Secondary school music in Huh by Myatt and Tomsett, offers non specialists an insight into the thinking behind a Music curriculum. It is primarily aimed at making the conversations between music subject leaders and their line managers both productive and meaningful. He attended a state comprehensive school in Kent, where he benefitted hugely from the county music service, and taught at the Universities of Surrey and Nottingham before coming to Oxford in 2009.

William Morris William Morris
studied Music at Bristol, and later completed a masters’ at
Kingston. Formerly at the Royal Ballet School, William was Director of Music at Shrewsbury House and is currently at the Dragon School. Principally a composer, his music has been performed in St Paul’s Cathedral, The Royal Opera House as well as television and radio.
