60 ST EDWARD’S CHRONICLE
Football By Nic Bond, Director of Sport and Former Head of Football
The Football Club went from strength to strength last year. For the first time in St Edward’s history the Club welcomed multiple competitive girls’ XIs with incredible strength in depth. The boys’ 1st – 4th XIs also competed in the Central Independent Schools League (CISL) in its first year. The Club as a whole grew once again, showing high levels of engagement with all pupils competing hard for the cup and dagger. The Spring Term began with a two-day pre season camp at St George’s Park (England’s training ground) attended by over 30 pupils. This laid the foundations for a great season across the Club.
