The UK currently has a world-leading healthcare system. Doing more in preventing cardiac deaths is no easy task, however as the NHS Long Term Plan explains, they are fully aware of the importance of focusing on this area. Currently the NHS could be doing more, however their plan explains that more measures are starting to be introduced. I would challenge the plan to go even further than improving how well people ‘know their numbers’ and make cardiac scans more accessible to those highlighted more ‘at risk’ from developing a CVD.
