Rhubarb October 2022

ST EDWARD’S

OSE EVENTS

It was great to see so many OSE catching up with old friends from over half a century and reminiscing about their time at School (the Dining Room evoked many memories!) and we have been thrilled by the positive feedback. It was fitting to see the marquee being used at full capacity on the last weekend of term, before it was taken down on the Monday, restoring the Quad back to pre-Covid days.

REGIONAL RHUBARB –

Canada 13TH APRIL 2022

Over 7,000km from Summertown, there was a small gathering of OSE in Vancouver, Canada in April. With at least 50 OSE spread across the breadth of the world's second largest country, connecting alumni from Montreal toVancouver has always been a challenge. To get the ball rolling on what will hopefully be a series of Canada-based OSE events, a group met for dinner and drinks in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Nine were in attendance spanning 37 years of the School's history. The event was a great success at the Boathouse Restaurant, with the group enjoying fantastic views out towards Vancouver Island in the Pacific. Those in attendance were John Ellis (Apsley, 1959-1964), Bill Mascott (Apsley, 1964-1969) and wife Karen, Helen Baddeley (Corfe, 2009- 2014) and partner Amit, Sophie Tuckett (Mac’s, 2001-2006),Tim Smart (Field House, 2001-2006), David Smart (Field House, 1966-1971) and wife Melanie. With many OSE moving to Canada, it is difficult to keep our records accurate – please get in touch with the Beyond Teddies Team if you are living in Canada – we'd love to hear from you!
