Rhubarb October 2022

It was lovely to welcome back so many OSE and former staff for the 25-year reunion black tie dinner.The evening started inWillows where the OSE enjoyed Rhubarb cocktails, looked at large displays of photos depicting life at Teddies in 1994-1996 and had an opportunity to see the new Academic Christie Centre and Olivier Hall. Dinner was held in the Dining Room where guests were treated to an exquisite meal, speeches byWarden Alastair Chirnside and the Rev DavidWippell (former SCR) and where they enjoyed spotting familiar names on the sports shields (and there was more hilarity as they exchanged photos of themselves from the display boards!)

Hockey for a number of years. The service in the Chapel was well attended and Chris Jones (Field House, 1968-1972), Chair of the Governors, gave a moving tribute. Myles’ ashes were scattered on the spot he spent so much time watching cricket on Upper One, between the Martyrs Pavilion and the Old Pavilion.

The School held a Memorial Service for Myles Arkell who was a member of the Common Room from 1955 to 1990. He was Housemaster of Field House from 1971 to 1983. He was Master-in-charge of Cricket and
