Five years later, the Beyond Teddies team received a note from Colin Douglas Allen who appeared in one of these photos.

The following message was received from Peter Barrow after receiving the last edition of Rhubarb in the post: It was wonderful to receive the latest copy of Rhubarb and to see the photo of the cast of The Crucible from 1964. I played Giles Corey in that production and can be seen on the right shoulder of Simon Petch – the tall, mop-haired one in a white smock or shirt. I remember the production well, especially how hard I struggled with one of Giles’ lines: “That’s deep, Mr Parris, deep”, which I could never quite pull off. I knew Simon well at Segar’s and remember being so impressed that he had read almost everything byWilliam Faulkner!

In October 2021, Hector took on his first ever Ironman in Barcelona, a 2.2 mile swim, 112-mile cycle followed by a marathon. Having not run more than 5k in nearly a decade this was a huge challenge! Hector completed the Ironman, raising over £4,600 for the Prince’s Trust, a charity that supports 11-30 year olds who are unemployed or struggling.Well done Hector! Cambridge, Farbod has recently been elected onto the College Council by his peers.The Council is responsible for managing the property, income, expenditure, and educational business of the College, and the ten Fellows who sit on Council – alongside the Master, Bursar, and Senior Tutor – comprise the trustees of the College as a charity. I am now 88 years old. I entered the RAF after leaving school, served a short service commission as a pilot in the RAF 94 Squadron, mainly in Celle, Germany flying Venoms,Vampires and Meteors. I left the RAF as a Flight Lieutenant and started my medical career at the London Hospital and specialised in Neurology becoming a Consultant Neurologist. I was recruited to the USA to become a Professor at Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Centre at Hanover, New Hampshire, USA as a specialised Neurologist. I had previously studied at Rochester Medical School NY in research and obtained a London University MD further qualification. I was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians while I was at Dartmouth. I stayed in Neurology until retirement. My three children are all doctors, two daughters who are consultants in NHS and a son who is a GP. I maintain my interest in flying and medicine. Good luck to you all. Colin.
