It was announced that Clare Hamilton would succeed Tony Darby as Sub-Warden in September 2022 when Tony took up the role as Founding Principal of Rugby School in Japan. Clare is the first female Sub-Warden in the School’s history. 22. Nic Bond was appointed as the new Director of Sport and is pictured with sports prefects Connie Jones and Josh Brangan. 23. So successful has St Edward’s been in developing its dual IB/A Level Sixth Form programme that our Director of IB, Anna Fielding, was asked to present to all UK IB schools alongside one of the IB’s most senior administrators. 30. Segar’s HM, Simon Roche completed the Marathon Des Sables in March in the Sahara Desert and raised money for local charity The Gatehouse.With over 1,000 runners from all over the world he spent six days running over 156 miles, carrying his provisions in temperatures of up to 50°c. 31. Mathematics teacher and School Analyst Matthew Golesworthy completed his Oxford University doctorate in chemistry and his research on the quantum compass of bird migration was published in Nature . 32. Charlotte Baker performs Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light Requiem with the St Edward’s Singers during the Spring Term.
