You taught at Teddies for 24 years – what is your favourite memory?

I have countless happy memories of my time at Teddies, to choose one would be invidious! I have often said my favourite time was the term I spent as ‘Housemistress’ (before the term HM was coined) in Avenue but I think that was due to ‘Grandparent Syndrome’, knowing that after a term I could hand them all back!

You left Teddies in 2013 – what did you do afterwards?

I retired in 2013 and have not been tempted back to teaching. I still umpire Hockey both at school and club level. I am the old, portly bloke that always seems to be pointing the wrong way in games. I also spend a lot of time playing golf. Caroline, my wife, was invited to become a Governor at Teddies when I retired and so I get invited to School events as her ‘plus 1’.
