Tell us about your time at Teddies?

I came toTeddies awkward, very dyslexic, spotty, eccentrically silly, and left the same! But I was changed. I had played sport, created

art and met some great people. I threw myself into things and grew in character and self-assurance.

What life lessons did you learn from your time here?

The opportunities I was given have been life changing. I said in my Gaudy speech, ‘the confidence you have gained is yet to be understood, the ability to react to situations is yet to be tested but let me tell you, it is there’. It is the truth. The School nurtured my natural instincts by appointing me Head of House. It was recognised that I care for people and this has carried on into my career today.

representing television personalities. Knowing she hadn’t found her true passion, she returned to university for the second time to study for a Sports Therapy BSc and at that time she met her husband. This year she took part in an extraordinary expedition, as a member of the Forces Wives Challenge team, to retrace the steps of the Heroes of Telemark, men who risked their lives to successfully sabotage Hitler's plans to create an atomic bomb.

What are some highlights from that time?

Representing the 2nd XI boys’ cricket team, getting three runs and being run out just as I was getting going! I was wearing golf shoes and borrowed pads but had a great time. I enjoyed pushing boundaries, playing golf and cricket; not being particularly good at either but not following the normal path.
