James Pargeter (Mac’s, 1978-1982), Nick Hill (Cowell’s, 1977-1982), Geoff Hogan (Field House, 1975-1980), John Fisher (Sing’s, 1977-1982), Phil Delafield (Field House, 1970-1975) and Dave Townsend (sadly unable to play on the day). The day was rounded off by OSE, and for many years neighbour, Alastair Wells (Sing’s, 1982-1985), whose career as an Alpinist was shaped by Tony while at School and whose family greatly enjoyed Tony’s company. Alastair helped significantly with Tony’s care in later years and was given his framed copy of the poem ‘Desiderata’ which he read to conclude a day of great sadness but immense joy in remembering Tony Snell.

REGIONAL rhubarb – SOUTH EAST lunch 4TH NOVEMBER 2022

T he South East regional lunch took place on Friday 4th November at the Poacher and Partridge near Tonbridge attended by 15 OSE with six partners. David Smart, president of the OSE Society and Rachael Henshilwood from the Beyond Teddies team updated us on current news and priorities for the future of the School. Malcolm Acheson, as is tradition, said Grace in Latin, which was used daily at School before lunch in the 1960s. A fine three-course lunch was served and there was much reminiscing by OSE from a variety of generations. Another event is in the planning for next year and we hope many more can attend.
