the Sahara Desert. Last November, a remarkable group of Teddies parents, OSE, and staff took part in our Sahara Trek, a six-day adventure through southern Morocco, all in aid of the Teddies Partnerships Programme. With four days of hiking across the awe-inspiring Chigaga dunes, this was no luxury getaway, it was a serious challenge, a fundraising mission, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience rolled into one.

Thanks to generous donations and tireless fundraising, we raised over £35,000. To everyone who rode, donated, volunteered, or cheered from the side-lines, thank you.

BEYOND TEDDIES

An Unforgettable Journey The trekking route itself was both physically and mentally demanding: long days walking under an unrelenting sun, navigating ever-shifting sands with little shade and no creature comforts. But for every blister or aching muscle, there was a reward – spectacular landscapes, shimmering dunes stretching to the horizon, and the kind of silence you can only find in the vastness of the desert.

A Community on a Mission This wasn’t just about personal challenge, it was about collective impact. The trek brought together a multi-generational mix of people united by their connection to Teddies and their desire to give back. Together, they raised significant funds for our Partnerships Programme, which supports educational initiatives and community outreach in Oxford and beyond.Their effort will make a real and lasting difference.
