Once again it was a special day. A huge thank you to our Martyrs reps for all your help – we couldn't do it without you!

MARTYRS Golf Studley Wood Report by Charlie Reid (Segar’s, 1973-1978) 2 024 saw Martyrs Golf join in on Martyrs Sports Day for the first time in a match hosted by Josh Drennan (Apsley, 2016-2021) at Studley Wood Golf Club. Despite the heavy rain in the early part of the day, the weather finally cleared just in time for the start and the course was in fine condition. The School fielded a strong team made up of pupils, staff and parents and won the opening two matches, but the Martyrs fought back with a win in the third match and Ollie Smith and

George Chaffer won the final game 1 up on the 18th green to earn a creditable 2-2 draw. The crystal decanter was presented to the two captains Charlie Reid and Ross Perry (Current Staff) and it was agreed to

make the match an annual event.

The OSE team was represented by: Robin Ellis (Segar’s, 1964-1969), Stephen (Tilly’s, 1973-1978) and Richard Matthews (Tilly’s, 1974-1979), Ed Watson (Apsley, 1996-2001), Josh Drennan, Ollie Smith (Field House, 2007-2012), George Chaffer, (Field House, 2007-2012), Chris Danziger (Former Staff, 1979-2003) and Charlie Reid.
