Friday at Five concerts continued with a weekly release of musical recitals from pupils on film.The offering varied enormously and kept us all entertained across the year.

Despite the circumstances, many DofE expeditions took place this year, including this Bronze expedition in Half Term.

SCHOOL NEWS

Pupils have been learning golf on the school course with a professional coach and there have been several fixtures against other schools for the most experienced. Membership of the Golf Club is at an all-time high.

There were many hockey highlights: weekly mixed hockey, the inaugural Teddies Hockey League and all senior teams unbeaten.The 1st XI, above, beat Bradfield for the first time in six years – a bright future lies ahead.

2021 Leaver, Millie Holme was invited to train with theWales U21 hockey squad, making her senior debut for Wales v Scotland after just one session.

The girls’ rowing quad achieved their best ever position of 9th overall at the National Schools’ Regatta in May, with the boys’ VIII coming 6th at this event.The younger girls’ squad members showed their future potential with 4th place overall in the final of the U16 double sculls.Teddies made history with our first ever girls’ crew to race at Henley, and both the girls’ quad and the boy’s VIII made it to the Saturday semi-finals with strong and confident performances.There were many friendly fixtures across the Summer Term where the younger rowers were able to gain some competitive experience.
