ST EDWARD’S

“ I feel very lucky to have been given the chance to come to St Edward’s where there are so many opportunities. I really enjoy the House community and the way you become like a family with the rest of the people in your House . ” REUBEN | SIXTH FORMER FIELD HOUSE, 2020-CURRENT

BEYOND TEDDIES

“ I was at a comprehensive school before Teddies. It was a really great school, but there weren’t many people in my class who actually wanted to work hard. It was easier to go with the flow and not push myself to do the best I could. When I came to Teddies, I found the pace of work exhilarating: I studied Latin and Greek for the first time. I was appointed Captain of Rugby in my final year and the feeling of leading the team out onto Upper 1 to play intense, competitive rugby against some of the most famous schools in England will stay with me for the rest of my life and I shall always be grateful. I am now studying Mechanical Engineering at The University of Bristol. ” FERDI | SING’S, 2015-2020

“ We at Cutteslowe Community Centre are so excited to be partnering with St Edward’s School. Their enthusiasm and support for both our ‘Summer Fun In the Sun’ programme of activities as well as our ongoing youth provision for children local to Cutteslowe and Sunnymead is fantastic. We are very much looking forward to building a strong relationship with the school, it’s staff and students in the future. ” STEPH JANKOVIC | COMMUNITY MANAGER CUTTESLOWE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Partnerships

As you know the School is also growing its Partnership programme by creating impactful projects with local state schools and charities where all pupils and teachers can learn and develop together. In these

changing times the School continues to think strategically, but not just about what is right educationally for its own pupils but also what is right for the wider community. Only by doing this do we truly educate our pupils academically, pastorally and socially to want to go out into the world, beyond Teddies, with the desire to make a positive contribution to others.

How can you help?

We know our OSE and Parent communities are ambitious for the school and indeed for our pupils too, and we hope these three areas that you can support excite you as much as they do us and if not please tell us! If you are able to support us regardless of the size of your donation, please email beyondteddies @ stedwardsoxford.org or call Rachael Henshilwood on 01865 319205 or visit our website at beyondteddies.stedwardsoxford.org. The support of our brilliant donors will be recognised by a private drinks party at Special Gaudy in June 2022, with special invitations to major School events and for our major donors in the opening of a donor board in the Cloisters in the Summer Term later this year. If you are keen to help in other ways please email or call, there are many ways in which you can support us our pupils and our OSE through your time or expertise.
