The International Baccalaureate Nearly 100 pupils at Teddies received their International Baccalaureate results this summer. With final exams cancelled, the IB Organisation (IBO) calculated results based largely on coursework. It is fair to say that there were a number of unexpected results for IB candidates at Teddies and at schools all over the world. In the UK, the Warden took the lead in challenging the IB’s assessment model and carried out a number of media interviews with, among others, The Financial Times , The Times and the Times Educational Supplement . In response to pressure from the Warden and other Heads, the IB reviewed their assessment model and made a number of changes, bringing good news for some of our pupils, but not for all those who deserved it. At the time of writing, he continues to press the IBO to review a number of outstanding cases.
