2007), George (G, 2005-2010) and Freddie (G, 2009-2014)) pulling the strings impressively from the midfield. The Martyrs were, perhaps predictably, slow to get into their stride. When they eventually did, the experience of Peter Pitt-Brown , as well as the youthful exuberance of Feroz Baig (H, 2009-2014), Miles Hammond (H, 2009-2014) and Jack Power (H, 2011-2016), provided enough late fire power to draw the Martyrs level with the final play of the game! Special mention must go to current pupil Tanaka Chitsenga (A, U6th) who gave a formidable performance in (both!) goals. Haileybury ‘Sixes’ Unfortunately, the Martyrs were unable to retain the prestigious Haileybury Sixes title for a third consecutive year, thus politely allowing another alumni side to win the trophy for the first time in four years! The squad of Will Kerr-Dineen , Harry McHugh (E, 2004- 2009), George Creed , Jasper Joyce , Gero Traem (A, 2012-2014), Miles Hammond , Calvin Dickinson and Charlie Shipperley (who had literally just stepped off a plane from Sydney the day before!), all ably led by Andrew Baggs (A, 2001-2006), drew with Clifton (1-1), then lost to Aldenham (1-0) and Tonbridge (2-1) before beating Haileybury (3- 0) to finish 3rd in their pool and therefore just miss out on a semi-final spot. Beating Felsted (3-1) in the 5/6th play-off the Martyrs finished a respectable 5th, leaving them hungry to reclaim their title in 2017!

In bright September sunshine, the ODs burst into a strong lead before half time, with a trio of Creeds ( Alec (G, 2002-

The Martyrs enjoyed two competitive and thoroughly entertaining fixtures in the traditional fixtures against the School. Moments of individual brilliance from Will Kerr-Dineen (G, 2003-2008), George Creed (G, 2005-2010) and current Welsh International Rupert Shipperley (H, 2006-2011) helped the Martyrs ‘A’ XI to an excellent 6-5 victory against a strong School 1st XI. Whilst the Martyrs ‘B’ XI enjoyed a high scoring draw vs. the School 2nd XI.
