Finances and Insurance
Fees and costs Full information about our fees and other costs (such as music lesson prices) is listed here . Fee support is available on a needs assessment basis. Such support can extend to additional fees and costs for those receiving fee support. Please contact the Finance Team for further information. Payment of account There are four main ways to pay the School bill – by termly direct debit (UK bank account holders only), bank transfer, through our Advanced Fees Scheme or a School Fees Plan. Advanced Fees Scheme (AFS) allows those who wish to pay in advance, for more than one year, to obtain a discount on their payments. It is best suited to those planning to pay fees over a number of years and as far ahead as possible. School Fees Plans (SFP) are offered by private companies and enable you to pay in monthly instalments. You will be asked how you wish to settle the school bill in our joining forms. If you have any queries about how to pay the bill, please contact the Accounts Department on 01865 319209 or email accounts@stedwardsoxford.org.
Summary of insurances and contingency schemes The School provides travel insurance and personal accident and injury insurance within the school bill. These provide limited travel insurance for pupils undertaking school trips in the UK or beyond. The cover extends to personal accident, healthcare cover, personal belongings, cash, cancellation, curtailment and delay. Please ask for details if you wish to review the policy. In addition, parents may opt into insurance policies for: pupil absence; medical costs; and personal property. You will be asked on joining the School whether you would like to opt in to these schemes and you will be provided with the full policy details. School Policies and Compliance The registered proprietor is the governing body of St Edward’s School. The Chair of Governors can be contacted by writing to the Clerk to the Governors, at St Edward’s School, Oxford OX2 7NN. All Governors are subject to pre-appointment safeguarding checks by the School and, in the case of the Chairman, by the Department of Education. To find out more about school Governors, visit the Governors’ page on the School website. In compliance with the requirements of the Independent School Standards Regulations and the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools, we maintain policies which provide clear guidance on important areas of school life. Policies are available on the School website or from the Sub-Warden.
