I joined Teddies in 2022 to teach Geography and Global Politics and became part of Oakthorpe too – first as a Resident Tutor. I’m now Assistant Housemistress and love being part of the House Team and enjoy supporting each of the girls in all aspects of school life. Outside the classroom, I’m involved in Teddies’ Sailing and Chapel life. I enjoy hopping between cafés in Oxford, walking coastal paths, and exploring Europe one city break at a time. I’m really looking forward to the year ahead and to welcoming the girls into House! I joined Teddies in 2023 as a Graduate Assistant of Jewellery and stepped up into the role of Teacher of Design and Jewellery the following year. When I’m not teaching in the workshop or jewellery studio, I’m coaching hockey, netball, and cricket.

House Nurse The House Nurse is the link between Oakthorpe House and the Health Centre where they are based and can be contacted. The Health Centre number is 01865 319 244. Cleaning Team We have a great team of cleaners who clean the rooms every day. We ask pupils to respect the cleaning staff by making their beds, putting all clothes away, leaving their desk spaces tidy and ensuring all rubbish is put in the correct bins.

I joined Teddies in 2017 as part of the Sports Department and have held a variety of roles. Last year, I joined Oakthorpe as the RT2, my first experience of House life at the school. Being part of Oakthorpe has been thoroughly enjoyable and I’m excited to see what this year brings.

We are Sophie and Karen, proud matrons of Oakthorpe. Sophie joined Oakthorpe in 2014 and Karen joined the team in 2019. Together, we share the wonderful responsibility of looking after the pastoral wellbeing of our girls. We’re here to ensure they feel safe, supported, and cared for every day.
