OSE WWI Transcriptions from the Archives

30: B. S. Thompson – Lady Ridley’s Hospital – 16 Oct 1916 Dear Mr Sing: -

Thank you very much for your letter. I was pleased to hear from you. I have had several O.S.E to see me. Charlie Gillett [OSE] often comes in, and Mr Beasley came in one day with F. Barnes [OSE], also K Harding [OSE] who has been wounded. Gillett brought him in, but I failed to remember him. I am mending up famously, but it will be a good time before I am fit again. H. B. is going strong in the RFA in France. He was back on leave a few weeks ago but I saw little of him. R. D. was in Mesopotamia but had something wrong with his eyes and was invalided to Bombay. I believe he has got a long leave and is going to Ceylon to recuperate. Hope you are keeping well. Mr Cowell looks as young as ever. Yours sincerely, Brian S. Thompson.
