Amanda assists with the day to day running of the House and is in charge one day each week. She teaches Chemistry and coaches badminton which she also enjoys playing in her free time. She lives in the centre of the boarding house.
House Nurse The House Nurse is the link between Macnamara’s House and the Health Centre where they are based and can be contacted. The Health Centre number is 01865 319 244. Domestic Services Team We have a great team who clean the rooms every day. We ask pupils to respect staff by making their beds, putting all clothes away, leaving their desk spaces tidy and ensuring all rubbish is put in the correct bins.

Gala Durieu assists with the day to day running of the House and is in charge one evening each week. She joined Teddies in 2024 to teach French and enjoys playing the piano. She lives in the centre of the boarding house.

Maria is the person your daughter will go to if she is feeling unwell during the day or if she wants a chat about anything (and everything!). She is a much loved member of the House Team. Maria is there to discuss the medical needs of your daughter and helps arrange things like GP appointments. She can also accompany your daughter to medical appointments. Hours of work: 8am – 5pm Monday–Friday. 8am – 1pm Saturdays.

Rachel will be covering Maria’s maternity leave from the Autumn Exeat. She has lived and worked at Teddies for many years and is excited to be taking on a new challenge as Matron. She lives in Sing’s with her husband, Adam, and two children. Hours of work: 8am – 5pm Monday–Friday. 8am – 1pm Saturdays.
