WELCOME
Welcome to Kendall House. We are all looking forward to your son starting at Teddies and getting to know him and you. Very soon after your son starts, he will know all about how life at Teddies works. In the meantime, this booklet aims to cover some basics to help with the start of term and to give you some important contact details. There is also an A–Z at the end which hopefully will answer specific points, for anything else please ask! In my role as HM, I have overall responsibility for your son’s wellbeing at school. This includes their emotional and social wellbeing as well as their academic progress and involvement in the co-curricular life of the school. I am supported in this role by a fantastic team – the Assistant HM Tom Holdsworth, the House Matron Paul Davies, the Resident Tutor Susan Holland, and the entire House team. If you have any concerns about your son, please do get in touch with me or one of the team (see the contact details below) by email, text or phone. We all aim to reply to emails within 24 hours but for anything more urgent please phone me on my mobile or the House phone. In an emergency, you can also contact the Sub-Warden. It is really important that we can contact you or a guardian, so please ensure you let me know if your contact details change.
Michael Bunch Kendall Housemaster (HM)
I joined Teddies in 2016 to teach Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics and have been HM in Kendall since 2021. In the course of my time at the School, I have been Head of Badminton, overseen the School’s Peer Listening Programme, and continue to facilitate the School’s Graydin Coaching programme. I live in Kendall with my wife, Hesper, a secondary art teacher, our daughter Xanthe, and Lewis the dog. Away from School, I am a keen long-distance runner and am working my way through the major European city marathons! I’m always here to help and to support you as parents. I’ll probably be the first port of call when you have questions or concerns. I am committed to making Kendall a home away from home, full of laughter, kindness and, of course, hard work!
