WELCOME

Welcome to Corfe House We’re so excited to welcome your daughter to the Teddies community, and especially into the Corfe House family. Whether you’re brand new to boarding life or already familiar with it, this is the beginning of an important and memorable chapter – for both your child and for you. At Corfe, we work hard to create a warm, inclusive and supportive environment that feels like a second home. It won’t be long before your daughter knows the daily rhythms of life at Teddies – the people, the routines, the traditions – and starts to feel truly at home here. To help with the early days, we’ve put together this booklet, which covers the basics you’ll need for the start of term, as well as useful contact details. You’ll also find an A–Z guide at the end, which we hope will answer many of your questions. And of course, if there’s anything else you’re wondering, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re always happy to help. As Housemistress (HM), I have overall responsibility for your child’s wellbeing during their time at school. This includes their emotional and social life, academic progress, and participation in the wide range of co-curricular opportunities Teddies offers. I’m very lucky to be supported by a truly wonderful team: our Assistant HM, Hannah Herrmann, our House Matron, Nicky Henderson, our Resident Tutor, Jorge Tomas Beneito, and the wider House team – all of whom play a vital role in day-to-day life at Corfe.

If you ever have any questions or concerns – big or small – please feel free to get in touch with me or a member of the team. You can reach us via phone, text, or email (details below). We aim to reply to emails within 24 hours, but if something is urgent, please call my mobile or the House phone directly. In case of an emergency, the Sub-Warden is also available. Finally, please do keep us updated if any of your contact information changes – it’s really important that we’re able to reach you or a nominated guardian if needed. We’re so looking forward to getting to know your family and to helping your child thrive here at Teddies.
